Tools For Change

TOOLS FOR CHANGE 2020

Co-produced by Theatre Uncut and Traverse Theatre

Playtexts and films of 3 plays from the Theatre Uncut archive that explore issues of racism, censorship, power and identity available for students and staff of educational organisations and youth theatres to download and perform until Nov 2023.

In support of the Black Lives Matter movement we have worked in collaboration with three of our playwrights to create these digital reimaginings of their Theatre Uncut plays. We hope these will be useful tools to help create positive change. These films and the playtexts are available for campaigners, activists, educators and groups to use as tools to encourage debate and raise awareness.

A Coin in Somebody Else’s Pocket by Suhaiymah Manzoor-Khan - originally commissioned to respond to the theme of power in 2018.

Re: Exhibit by Gbolahan Obisesan - originally commissioned to respond to the theme of censorship on 2015.

Safe by Niellah Arboine - originally commissioned to respond to the theme of power in 2018.
